Lucky Holes!

So second day of the weekend and after running all the cables through the mast yesterday it was time to fit the appropriate “bits and bobs” to the top. This translates to VHF antenna and a new tricolour light.

The weather was not favourable for “bits and bobs fitting” which meant whilst Dorian was working on the mast Clara and I were at home, in the warm and dry planning our future sailing adventures 🙂 (actually less planning, more looking out the window day-dreaming of warm weather and cold Pinot Grigio in a bay somewhere…)

Anyway- back to the bits and bobs! When fitting the new bracket for the Tricolour light the holes for the bracket lined up exactly with the existing ones… when does that ever happen!?!

^ Photographic evidence of above mentioned lucky holes!

Also here is another photo, cabling for Tricolour light (because Dorian loves photos of electrical stuff.. you will notice these feature frequently whenever electrical bits and bobs are involved.)

So with all “bits and bobs” fitted and a good pressure wash of the mast we are ready to go!!! Well the mast is at least… So hopefully the mast will be going up in the next week or so (miserable English weather permitting!)

We have decided we are headed to the Isle of Wight for Cowes week this year on Audina (cruising not racing) we hope to have her on the water a fair while before this but it gives us something to aim for. Now that I’ve typed it we have to make it happen!

Another productive weekend, hope you all have a good week 🙂
