Beaulieu Boat Jumble

Today we took a trip to Beaulieu for the annual boat jumble! It’s fair to say it was far more successful than our trip earlier in the year to the Ardingly boat jumble (where I froze my butt off in a cold warehouse with about 6 stalls selling old tat..)

Beaulieu is clearly the hub of the annual boat jumble calendar, there were lots of people and lots of stalls ranging from car boots full of old equipment (and rubbish) to chandlers selling spares as well as specialists selling their specific products.

Of course there was an entire field dedicated to car boot sellers, mostly junk but a fair number of bargains if you knew what you wanted (and provided you were willing to trawl through all the junk to find them!)

Thankfully the sun was out so I didn’t protest too much when Dorian wanted to do “one last lap” of the car boot traders…

We dutifully wrote a list of things we need for Audina in the hope we could tick lots off. Well we did come away with a number of purchases (including some that didn’t feature on the list) so overall the day was a success!

We managed to pick up:

6 x Fenders
6 x lines for Fenders
3 x “P” Clamps for fuel pipes
1 x Red Ensign Flag
1 x Boat Hook
1 x Waterproof Flare Tub (Flares not included.)
6 x Tubes of Marine Grade Sealant
1 x Pair of Deck Shoes 🙂

I don’t think we could’ve carried much more between the two of us! (I also had Clara in a woven wrap on my front so I looked a bit like a donkey by the end of the day!)

Lots of organised people took little pull along trailers to load up with their purchases (note to self – take a trailer or the pushchair to load up next year!)

Below are a couple of photos from the day as well as our haul 🙂
