Well this weekend felt very much like April showers (in March) but that didn’t stop Dorian from a productive day getting the final bits finished so that we can get the mast up!
The steaming light has now been fitted to the mast along with a new LED tricolour and VHF antenna. Lines have now been run through the mast ready to pull through all new halyards.

Also- after cleaning and re fitting the head to the engine we now have compression! Hurrah!
There was a bit of detective work required to find the mast bolts, Audina does not have a through deck mast like most yachts, instead the foot of the mast sits on a plate on the deck which is supported by two bulkheads. The plate is held in place with nuts and bolts which we now know are hidden behind a decorative frame below deck (next to the aft bulkhead.)
We wanted to remove the mast bolts to reseal around them and the metal plate before we put the mast back up. (Whilst the mast is off we may as well!)
